Helping your child feel
secure through change
Divorce is a life-changing event for any child. Even when handled with care, it can bring feelings of confusion, sadness, anger, guilt or fear of abandonment. Sometimes children act out or shut down because they simply don't know how to make sense of the change.
Book a Free ChatHow divorce can affect children
Every child responds differently to family separation. Common signs that they may need support include:
- Increased anxiety, clinginess or separation worries
- Changes in behaviour at home or school
- Withdrawal, low mood or becoming very quiet
- Anger or acting out — especially around transitions between homes
- Worrying about divided loyalties or feeling responsible for the split
- Regression to younger behaviours — bed wetting, thumb sucking, night waking
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where your child can process what they're feeling at their own pace and in their own way. Whether they're worried about the future, struggling with divided loyalties or just need somewhere to put all those big feelings — I'm here to help them navigate it.
