Specialist anxiety & trauma
subconscious change work
— near Cambridge
I'm Bonnie Silverback, based in Haverhill on the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border — approximately 25 minutes from Cambridge. I use some of the most effective subconscious change techniques available to help adults and children find rapid, lasting relief.
What sets this apart
from other Cambridge
therapists
Many Cambridge-area therapists offer standard hypnotherapy or CBT. My practice combines four distinct, evidence-informed modalities: Hypnotherapy, IEMT, the BLAST Technique, and Pain Release Therapy.
If you've tried talking therapy and felt like something was still stuck, that's often because those approaches work at the level of conscious thought. The emotional patterns that drive anxiety, trauma and phobias are held deeper — in the subconscious mind. That's exactly where I work.
Using Hypnotherapy, IEMT and the BLAST Technique, I work directly at that deeper level. We can often achieve in two to four sessions what might take months of conventional therapy — and without having to re-live painful memories in detail.
The change feels fast, gentle and lasting — and many clients are surprised by how quickly it happens.
Issues I specialise in
I work with adults and children across Haverhill and the surrounding area on a wide range of emotional and psychological issues.
Four techniques.
One integrated approach.
My practice combines four distinct, evidence-informed modalities for faster, deeper results than any single technique alone.
Uses guided eye movements to rapidly neutralise the emotional charge attached to distressing memories and deeply held identity patterns ("I am…" statements).
A bilateral stimulation approach specifically designed for trauma and PTSD. Fast, gentle, non-retraumatising — and deeply effective for complex or long-standing trauma.
Guided deep-state work that reprograms beliefs and emotional responses held in the subconscious mind — the root of most anxiety and fear responses.
The Bunny Talks Process
I offer therapeutic services designed specifically for children, using the Bunny Talks Process — a gentle, age-appropriate framework for children aged five and above. If your child is struggling, I'd encourage you to book a free consultation.

FAQs — Hypnotherapy
near Cambridge
How does IEMT compare to EMDR?
Both use bilateral processing to reduce emotional intensity around difficult memories. IEMT also works with identity-level patterns — the "I am…" statements that shape how we see ourselves. Many clients find IEMT faster and gentler than EMDR.
How many sessions will I need?
Most issues resolve in two to four sessions. We'll discuss this during your free consultation based on what you're working through.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. Online sessions are just as effective and available to clients anywhere in the UK. Many clients from outside Haverhill choose to work with me online.
Do you work with children near Cambridge?
Yes. I offer therapeutic services designed specifically for children near Cambridge, using the gentle Bunny Talks Process, for ages five and above.
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Completely. You remain in full control throughout every session. There is no loss of consciousness and nothing is done without your full awareness and consent.
What is the BLAST Technique?
BLAST (Bi-Lateral Analysis and Stimulation Treatment) is a fast, evidence-informed approach for trauma, PTSD and deeply held emotional patterns. It works by processing difficult memories bilaterally — similar in principle to EMDR but typically faster.
